SPV rates have been updated for the period 4 August 2023 to 17 August 2023.

Removal of N851 Defra control on kiwi and lettuce
The Defra phytosanitary control (N851) is no longer required for kiwi fruit and lettuce.
This affects the following commodity codes:

Duty suspension amendment
The duty suspensions on the import of aluminium alloys have been amended to take account of commodity code changes. Duty suspensions are now available on the following subheadings:

IUU catch certificate requirements (measure type 719)
Defra policy have clarified that measure type 719 is an import-only measure. All related conditions and action codes on this measure have been updated to reflect this.
DCMS export licence (measure type 353) change of description
The description for measure type 353 has been amended to “DCMS export licence” to clarify the scope of the control.
Steel safeguards update
The UK safeguards category 1 (hot rolled coil) residual quota number 058002 is now exhausted.
The 25% safeguard duty will now apply until 30 September 2023.
Steel anti-dumping duty update
As of 9 August 2023, the UK’s definitive anti-dumping duties on imports of hot rolled coils will be temporarily removed from goods impported from Iran (affecting companies covered by additional codes C215 and C999) and Russia (affecting companies covered by additional codes C216 and C218).
The anti-dumping duties for goods from Russian companies covered by additional codes C217 and C999 are reduced to £19.574 (8%).
On 1 October 2023, the anti-dumping duty will be reinstated when the safeguard quota is reset in the next quarter.
