Cookie Policy

This policy covers cat360.io. It lists every cookie the site can set, what each one is for, and how to change your mind at any point.

The short version

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use a small number of them to make the site work, and we would like to use a few more to understand how the site is used and which campaigns bring people here.

Nothing optional runs until you say yes. When you first arrive, no analytics or marketing cookie is set and no third-party tracking script is loaded. They load only after you opt in, and only for the categories you choose. You can change or withdraw your choice whenever you like, and withdrawing is as easy as giving it.

Change your choice, or withdraw it entirely.

1. Strictly necessary

Always on

One cookie, which records the choice you made so we do not have to ask again on every page. We cannot switch this one off, because without it we have no way of knowing whether you consented. It contains no identifier and is not shared with anyone.

CookieSet byPurposeExpires
cat360_consent cat360.io Stores which cookie categories you accepted, and when. Read on every page load so the banner does not reappear. 6 months

2. Analytics

Off until you opt in

Tells us which pages people find useful and where they get stuck, so we can fix the site rather than guess. Microsoft Clarity also records mouse movement, scrolling and screen content on the pages you visit, which we use to spot layout and usability problems.

CookieSet byPurposeExpires
_ga Google Analytics 4 Distinguishes one visitor from another. 2 years
_ga_3T2NJ631X5 Google Analytics 4 Holds session state for this site's analytics property. 2 years
_clck Microsoft Clarity Keeps a Clarity identifier for the browser so repeat visits can be linked. 1 year
_clsk Microsoft Clarity Joins the page views in a single session into one recording. 1 day
CLID Microsoft Clarity (clarity.ms) Identifies the first time Clarity saw this browser. 1 year

3. Marketing

Off until you opt in

Links your visit to any enquiry you send us, and tells us which campaign, advert or email brought you here. This is how we know whether our marketing is worth the money.

Accepting this category loads our HubSpot tracking code, which in turn loads several related tools: HubSpot's own analytics and advertising pixels, a Google Ads conversion tag, and the LinkedIn Insight Tag. LinkedIn and Google both set cookies on their own domains, which your browser reports to them rather than to us. We have listed below everything we can see, and named the providers in full in section 6 so you can read their notices too.

CookieSet byPurposeExpires
hubspotutk HubSpot Identifies your browser to HubSpot and connects it to any form you submit. 6 months
__hstc HubSpot Records first visit, last visit and current visit timestamps. 6 months
__hssrc HubSpot Notes whether this is a new browser session. Session
__hssc HubSpot Tracks page views within the current session. 30 minutes
_gcl_au Google Ads (tag AW-363001965, loaded by HubSpot) Records ad clicks so a resulting enquiry can be attributed to the advert. 90 days
_ga_JJDB9PJCJE Google Analytics 4 (Barbourne Brook property) Session state for the group-level analytics property shared with barbournebrook.co.uk, so a journey across both sites reads as one visit. 2 years
li_gc, li_sugr, bcookie, lidc, UserMatchHistory LinkedIn Insight Tag (loaded by HubSpot) Measures whether a LinkedIn advert or post led to a visit, and lets us reach similar audiences. Set by LinkedIn on its own domain. Up to 2 years
__hs_… HubSpot Supporting cookies used by HubSpot's analytics and advertising pixels. Up to 6 months

4. Our forms, and what happens if you decline

The trial, contact, broker review and newsletter forms on this site are hosted by HubSpot. The script that draws those forms loads whether or not you accept cookies, because without it the forms do not appear and you cannot get in touch. We treat that as strictly necessary, since it exists only to deliver something you asked for.

What changes if you decline marketing cookies is the linking. Your submission still reaches us and we still reply. We just will not be able to see which pages you read before you got in touch, or which campaign you came from. Declining does not affect your enquiry, the trial, or the service in any way.

5. Withdrawing consent

Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page, or the button near the top of this page. Turning a category off deletes the cookies in that category and reloads the page so the scripts stop running.

You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Every major browser lets you delete existing cookies, refuse new ones, or be warned before one is set. Blocking strictly necessary cookies means we will ask about your preferences again on every visit.

We will ask again after six months in any case, so a choice you made a long time ago does not stand indefinitely.

6. Third-party providers

Where you opt in, the following providers receive data through the cookies above. Each acts under its own terms and privacy notice, and each may process data outside the UK under the transfer safeguards in its agreement with us.

  • Google (Analytics 4, and advertising conversion measurement through Google Ads)
  • Microsoft (Clarity session analytics and recording)
  • HubSpot (customer relationship management, forms, marketing analytics and advertising pixels)
  • LinkedIn (advertising measurement and audience matching, via the Insight Tag that HubSpot loads)

We do not sell the data these cookies collect, and we do not allow any of these providers to use it for their own unrelated purposes.

7. Contact

If you have a question about this policy, or you want to exercise your data protection rights, email enquiries@barbournebrook.co.uk or write to us at the address at the top of this page. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
