As announced in the Border Targeting Operating Model (The Border Target Operating Model: August 2023 - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) there are changes to GB border controls which have resulted in an update to the Phytosanitary import control measure.

IPAFFS prenotification and phytosanitary certification import requirements (CHED-PP).
From 30 April 2024:
- “Regulated” goods will require IPAFFS prenotification and a phytosanitary certificate to import into GB. Traders will use document code N851 on their declaration to confirm they have met these requirements.
- “Unregulated” goods require neither an IPAFFS prenotification nor a phytosanitary certificate. An exemption code 901Y has been created where this applies.
